New solo contest at Clifton

An innovative partnership between Clifton & Lightcliffe and the Brighouse Lions has resulted in a new solo competition in Yorkshire.

The Clifton & Lightcliffe Band in partnership with the Brighouse Lions is launching a new solo competition.

Both organisations have held annual solo contests and after discussions between David Horsfield and the band it has been agreed to join forces to promote a new Yorkshire Solo Championships.

This will be held on Saturday 6th October at the Bailiff Bridge Community Centre, Bailiff Bridge, Brighouse HD6 4DX. It starts at 10.00am.

Slow Melody:

11 years and under
14 years and under
17 years and under
Open
Veterans (40 years and over)

Duets:
17 years and under
Open

Ensembles:
(3 to 10 players)
Open

Own Choice Solo: (Not Slow Melody)
17 years and under
Open

Entry:

Entry fees Solos £3.50 – Duets £5.00 – Ensembles £8.00 – Fun section £2.00

All sections will be unaccompanied
