Elland Silver Band's 23rd Annual Slow Melody, Junior Duet & Quartet contest took place on Sunday 6th May.

Impressed

Adjudicated by Stuart Fawcett, the event attracted entries from far and wide. Stuart commented that he had enjoyed every minute of a long day adding that he was most impressed with the 11 and under section.

"Some of these children were young and just setting out on what I hope will be a life long association with brass playing," he said. "They were all going the right way and it all looks good for the future of our bands."

He also congratulated the Elland Band for organising the event.
