The 7th annual Gwent Music Support Services Solo & Quartet/Ensemble Contest will now take place on Saturday 9th June at the YMCA, Mendalgief Road, Newport.

The closing date is Friday 25th May.

Ensemble

For the fourth year running there will also be an Ensemble class which will be available to a maximum of 12 players including percussion.

Judges

The adjudicators for the day are Tom Hutchinson and Chris Thomas, from Welsh champions Cory, who will also give a short recital before the announcement of the results.

Last year’s contest saw well over 100 participants take part, and it is hoped that this year’s contest will surpass these figures.
The entry fees for all solo classes will be £2 per entry and £5 for each quartet/ensemble.
