The Matlock Band has announced the appointment of Andrew Dennis as their new Musical Director.

Fine rapport

Having helped the band since September, Andrew has since worked on an ‘ad-hoc’ basis, striking up a fine rapport with the band. His position at Chapeltown Silver band remains un-affected.

Working well

Band Chairman Steve Jacklin told 4BR: "Andrew is working well with the band. We are beginning to move forwards again after a difficult period. It was a natural progression to keep his services."

Move

The band recently moved from its Jackson Road base where it had been for the last 42 years, following the sale of their old bandroom. A new home has been found and works have started to upgrade the site to the band’s requirements.
