Forest of Dean Solo competition ready for action

Make sure you get your entries in for the Forest of Dean, Solo, Duet & Quartet Competition.

The 6th Forest of Dean Solo, Duet & Quartet Championship takes place on Saturday 14th July in Coleford, Gloucester.

Flowers MD Paul Holland will be the man to impress in each of the classes.

Two new innovations this year sees a Slow Melody section for Adult Improvers aged 21 and over, as well as a Forest of Dean Young Musician class.

CD accompaniment

As in previous years there is the option for soloists to perform with a CD/Mp3 accompaniment which hopefully will continue to encourage even more young (and older) musicians who do not have the facility to rehearse with a pianist to enter the competition.

The closing date for entries is 30th June 2012.
