EBBA line ups complete

The bands, the music and the judges have been announced by EBBA for Rotterdam 2012

EBBA

EBBA has announced the final line up of competing bands that will battle it out for the European Brass Band Championship title at the De Doelen Hall in Rotterdam during the first weekend of May.

Behemoths

There is a battle of brass band behemoths in the Championship Section, with reigning champion Manger Musikklag defending their title against arguably the strongest ever field of world class rivals.

As always there will be a great deal of interest in the showcase selections of the bands for the own choice discipline on the Saturday, with the trend towards picking contemporary works by European composers very much in evidence.

Judges

There is also an interesting line up of adjudicators too, with an eclectic mix which sees a brace of Englishmen teamed with a Swiss, Belgian, Norwegian and Netherlander.

Four bands will compete in the B Section, with representatives from Austria, Italy, Netherlands and Northern Ireland, whilst there are the added attractions of the European Youth Band and the European Composers Competition.
