The Blidworth Welfare Training Band recently held its first meeting with prospective members.

Publicity

Following a publicity campaign in the local area the band were delighted with a good response from young and old alike, with a number of new members recruited.

Functioning

Members of the senior band acted as tutors for the day and rehearsals are being planned for later in March. The band are continuing with their publicity campaign and hope to have a functioning band in the next few weeks.

Richard Gallimore told 4BR: "The initial response has been very encouraging and we hope to build on this over the next few months."
