1st Old Boys come out on top in the entertainment stakes in County Tyrone.

1st Old Boys Silver Band took the championship honours for the third year in a row at the recent Brass Band League (NI) Brass in Concert Entertainment Contest in Fivemiletown, County Tyrone.

Third Carrickfergus, CWA Brass, Letterbreen Silver and Kilskeery Silver all won their respective sections.

Well organised

Unfortunatley, both Templemore Silver and Strabane Concert Brass had to withdraw from the contest at short notice due to bereavements within their bands.

Nevertheless, the well organised day saw 16 bands entertain audiences with the first band on stage at 9:30am and last band finishing their performance just before 7:00pm.
