Campbeltown Brass recently hosted a weekend of workshops and an evening concert on Saturday with special guest Les Neish.
Spokesperson Emily Walker told 4BR: "It was such a privilege to have Les with us. He provided excellent, fun and constructive workshops to our young players. It was also a joy to hear him play."
Fantastic time
She added: "Everyone had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our thanks to SBBA and Besson for their support without which this event would not have been possible."
Invitations were extended to young brass players from across the rural west of Scotland (Mid-Argyll, Islay, Bute and Arran) to join Campbeltown Brass for the event.

Islay & Jura
The organisers wer equally delighted as Scott McDermott, Instrumental Music Teacher at Islay & Jura Schools, accepted their invitation and together with several primary school children made the long journey to be with them.
Emily concluded: "It never ceases to amaze us that at the farthest corner of Scotland, there is such an abundance of talents and kids so enthusiastic about their music."
