The BBC and LOCOG will present Music Nation in Wales, a spectacular weekend of live music under the banner of Music Nation Cymru, which will see events hosted by Welsh National Opera and the National Cymanfa Ganu, led by Making Music Wales and Ty Cerdd, where people across Wales can perform traditional Welsh music together.

This music is available free to download from www.makingmusicwales.org.uk and full brass band scores are included.

Massed performances

Bands can join in the massed performance at the Wales Millennium Centre, or can invite their local community to join a performance of their own on the weekend 3rd/4th March.

There are a host of exciting initiatives with active brass band participation being hosted in Wales throughout 2012, including the ‘Making Music Overture’ by Orlando Gough, and the ‘Music Marathon’.
