The second Unibrass competition will take place this Saturday in The Great Hall at Lancaster University.
The action starts at 9.30am.
Open adjudication
With open adjudication and a pre-draw in operation, Derek Broadbent will oversee the musical element whilst Paul Andrews will observe the entertainment on offer.
Looking ahead
Looking ahead to the event, Contest Secretary, Charlotte Critchley told 4BR: "After the success of last year, we are all looking forward to Saturday. UniBrass is a fantastic opportunity to keep brass banding alive amongst young people. Whilst encouraging friendly rivalry between all of the Uni bands involved it also provides a brilliant social atmosphere for all of the players involved."
