British Open champion Cory will be heading back to school on St David’s Day to help a local school raise much needed funds.
Sports stars
The band will be visiting Whitchurch High School where they will link up with the young players of the school orchestra and the Cardiff County and Vale of Glamorgan Youth Orchestra to help raise funds for the school’s sports department, which over the years has produced top sporting heroes such as Wales rugby captain Sam Warburton and Spurs football sensation Gareth Bale.

Help
Eric Phillips, Head of music at WHS and conductor of the CCVGYO told 4BR: "It’s a privilege to have Cory come and help us in this way – and we hope they can be persuaded to try out our sports facilities too.
The pupils are really chuffed that another world class performer is coming to the school and in return is helping to support our efforts in producing the top Welsh sports stars of the future."
Join forces
The young orchestra players will join forces with Cory in the fund raising event in a massive rendition of ‘Pines of Rome’.
"We may need a new roof to the sports hall if we are not careful," Eric added.
