4BR Quiz: February Quiz

There is a bit of a Biblical feel to our February Quiz...

4BR

A little bit of a Biblical brain tickler for you to work out to get your hands on some great highlights of the ISB Brass Spectacular at the Royal Albert Hall.

ISB Highlights

Our February Quiz has a bit of a Biblical feel – simply because we have three DVD highlights of the 120th anniversary celebrations of the International Staff Band.

You can get your hands on the complete works performed at the 120th Anniversary weekend, as well as the ISB Brass Spectacular and all the Staff Bands in Concert, if you can get the following question right....

Question:

Which famous cornet player was born 187 years ago on the 28th February 1825 – and went on to write a methodology commonly referred to as ‘The Cornet Player’s Bible’?

Which famous cornet player was born 187 years ago on the 28th February 1825 – and went on to write a methodology commonly referred to as The Cornet Player’s Bible?4BR

Djembe Drum Winner:

Apologies for the delay in getting the quiz answer out to you, but in the end the delighted winner of the Djembe Drum was Catherine Showell, a percussion player with the Lewis Merthyr Band in South Wales.

Catherine answered that the Djembe Drum comes from West Africa and that Eric Djemba Djemba played for Manchester United.

Closing date:

All answers for this one must be in by midnight on Monday 13th February.
