2012 Action Research details announced

The details of the premier Youth Entertainment Contest that takes place in Blackpool on 12th February have been announced.

Eight bands will compete at Blackpool's Winter Gardens on Sunday 12th February in a bid to be to be crowned the 2012 Action Medical Research Youth Entertainment Champions of Great Britain.

Defending champion returns

Rochdale Borough Youth, led by Eric Landon will return to Blackpool to defend their title.

Back in the Ballroom

After a couple of years of the competition being held in The Opera House, this year it returns into the wider open spaces of The Ballroom.

Experienced judging duo

The judges for the competition will be the experienced duo of Garry Cutt and Paul Norley. Garry will judge the music element whilst Paul will focus on the entertainment.

The lure of performing on stage as the part of Brass in Concert weekend makes the contest one the bands want to win — it's always a great day4BR

Ticket details

The start time for the contest is 10.30am with the doors opening at 10.00am.

The ticket prices are the same as last year: Adults £7:00, Children £4:00.
