It’s that time of year again to try and ensure brass band music gains a rightful place in the listening habits of millions of people up and down the country.
Hall of Fame
The 2012 Classic FM Hall of Fame is being voted on once more, giving you the chance to get some ‘brass band classics’ into their charts.
Last year there was some cause for celebration as a few works gained recognition, with Simon Dobson’s wonderfully descriptive ‘Penlee’ making it to the giddy heights of 106!
Hope
This year it is hoped that a whole clutch of brass bands works can get into the top 100 – so make sure you vote earlier and often as they used to say on the hustings.
