Wellington (Telford) Brass has annoucned a number of new signings.

Welligton
 

Wellington (Telford) Band has announced a clutch of new signings ahead of their First Section Midland Area challenge in Bedworth in March.

Players

Gary McKay and Julie Beards have joined on cornet, Mel Amor on flugel and Lawrence Plant on 2nd horn. They are joined by Gemma Horton on 2nd trombone and Ben Davies on bass trombone.

The band has also gained a percussion section team in Josh Finzi, Bradley Sterry and Darryl Caldicutt.

All the new players are of a very high standard and will be a great asset to the bandMD, Mark Phillips

Talent

To complete the new signings the talented 15 year old Ashley Marston has joined on soprano, whilst they welcome back former principal cornet Heather Fury who will once again take the principal chair for the Area Contest.

High standard

Musical Director Mark Phillips told 4BR: "All the new players are of a very high standard and will be a great asset to the band. I look forward to working with them all, with the icing on the cake the return of Heather to lead our challenge."
