The Salvation Army’s Coventry City Band has raised over £1,400 with a series of concerts at the end of October and early November.

In the process the band raised much needed funds a Leprosy Mission as well as coming to the aid of the British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Departed heroes

The band also featured during the Poppy Appeal in a film called ‘Departed Heroes’, which was shot in Germany in 1951,only a few years after the end of World War II.
