Marzella heads to Black Dyke

Baritone star Katrina Marzella will take over the solo baritone seat at Black Dyke.

4BR has been informed that following the news of Gareth Brindle's departure from Black Dyke, the English National Champion has acted swiftly to fill the Queensbury seat with the signing of Katrina Marzella as their new solo baritone player.

Director of Music, Dr Nicholas Childs told 4BR: "Katrina is a terrific player with an international reputation, and it's with real anticipation we look forward to the future with her as part of the Black Dyke team."

Katrina commented: "I'm delighted to be joining Black Dyke. It's a real honour and I'm looking forward to an enjoyable and successful tenure with the band."

Katrina's first appearance will be with the band in concert at Huddersfield Town Hall on Sunday 18th December.
