Gloucestershire set for Blast Off!

Gloucestershire BBA to set up Blast Off event for 2012.

2012 will certainly Blast Off for the Gloucestershire Music and Gloucestershire Brass Band Association.

Blast Off

They are offering young brass and percussion players the opportunity to join together, make music and have fun at their first BLAST OFF event of the New Year, which will take place on Sunday 29th January at Tewkesbury Secondary School.

Two bands

The event will see youngsters forming two brass bands — the Junior Band which is open to all young musicians up to Grade 2, and a Training Band for those at Grades 3 – 5.

All levels are welcome from those just starting out to advanced players.

Trombones

The British Trombone Society will also be running a packed day of events for trombonists of all abilities including a massed trombone choir, workshops on orchestral sectional playing and small ensemble coaching leading to an informal afternoon concert.

Tintwistle Band

April 28 • Tintwistle Band are looking for a Soprano and front row cornet players to help complete our team.. We rehearse Monday and Thursday 8-10pm at our own bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle, and perform a variety of concerts all year round.
