After five successful years together, Portishead Town has announced the departure of Ian Dickinson as their Musical Director.
Promotion
It ends a highly successful relationship which resulted in promotion from the Second Section to the Championship Section status, with two National Final appearances gained on the way, as well as regular contesting podium finishes.
Ian also drove the band to produce its first CD recording, ‘Forty Years Young’.

Busy 2012
The news marks a transitional point for Portishead as they plan their 2012 calendar, which includes appearances at the Yeovil Entertainment Contest in February, West of England Championships in March and a busy concert diary throughout the year.
