Justice returns to Norway

Enfield Citadel trom star Andrew Justice has made a welcome return to Norway.

Enfield

Following Enfield Citadel Band’s 2009 visit to Trondeim in Norway, principal trombonist Andrew Justice was recently invited back as guest soloist for the annual Trondheimsnatt Concert, held by the Nidaros Brass Band, under the direction of MD, Geir Ulseth.

Guests

The concert was in aid of the Salvation Army’s work in the country, and other guests included the Trondheim Chamber Choir, Martin Myhre, the Nidaros String Quartet, and the organist of the host church in Trondheim.

Joint items

Andrew contributed ‘Rhapsody on an American Folk Hymn’, written for him by Ralph Pearce, and joined with trombonist Mari Malm Morkved, in the old favourite trombone duet ‘Comrades’, and the trombone ensemble ‘Peace Like A River’.

Whilst in Trondheim, Andrew also undertook a mini-recital after a joint SA/Methodist church service, where his performance included ‘Sing A Happy Song’, ‘Mid All The Traffic’, and ‘The Old Rugged Cross’.
