Dodworth Colliery Band has announced several new signings to their ranks.
New players
The Principal Eb Bass seat has been filled by the talented Will Druiett, a student of Les Neish at the Junior RNCM.
Will is also a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and has just reached the second round of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition.
Meanwhile, Alan Carr joins the trombone section. Formerly a player with Sun Life Stanshaw and YBS under David King, he is said to be looking forward to working with MD Eliot Darwin.

Return
The appointment of Alan is due to Alison Loukes' recent surgery, which put her out of action on the trombone, although she has now back playing on 2nd horn with Henrietta Darwin moving to 1st horn.
Cornet moves see April Farthing taking the Assistant Principal Cornet chair, whilst Adrian Longbottom returns to the band on 2nd Euphonium. Also giving assistance to the euphonium section is Mike Blackett who joins Dodworth from Chapeltown Silver.
Looking forward
Secretary Rob Loukes told 4BR: "We are looking towards the future. The band is looking forward to competing at the Butlins Mineworkers Championships in January where previous appearances have proved highly rewarding."
