Home or away?

Wherever your band wants to play in 2012, Rayburn Tours can help!

With the release of the 2011 Band Tours Newsletter from Rayburn Tours, bands across the country are being inspired to pack up their instruments and head out in search of new stages, new audiences and new band experiences.

Newsletter

In our newsletter this year, we reviewed our Italian destinations of Lake Garda, Tuscany, Venice and Umbria along with a report on the United Kingdom and the concert opportunities on offer ‘on your doorstep’.

Here we recap, compare and contrast two superb Band Tour destinations.

Lake Garda, Italy

A stunning destination for your next Band Tour, Lake Garda provides postcard perfect backdrops to your concerts.

Our Concert Tours team has excellent relationships with many of the lakeside towns and hilltop villages, where locals are keen to welcome bands and performances are enjoyed by the whole community.

The amphitheatre in Garda town is another perfect spot for an evening performance as tourists and locals flock to the promenade in the centre of the town to see visiting bands perform. Can you serenade the evening away?

Want to stay closer to home?

Whilst developing tours within the UK, we have uncovered some amazing venues that we can’t believe have been overlooked for so long!

In the Derbyshire Dales, the traditional spa towns of Buxton and Matlock provide picturesque bandstands set in idyllic parks, with a multitude of grand stately homes, caverns and market towns to explore between concerts.

Alternatively, venture to Scotland’s capital city Edinburgh, where shopping, nightlife and food heaven combine with the opportunity for your band to play in the famous Princes Street Gardens.

Big city?

If a trip to the big city is more your thing, London offers endless entertainment along with opportunities to play in the Victoria Embankment Gardens and St. James’ and Hyde Park. With so many opportunities and different experiences available, the UK is rightly the destination of choice for touring groups.

Where to next?

With so many destinations to choose from, the hardest part of organising a band tour is deciding where to go.

If your thinking of taking to a fresh stage in 2012, now is the perfect time to start planning as the earlier you book, the better your chance of securing the best accommodation, excursions and performance venues.
