Members of the Friary Guildford Band recently did their bit to entertain the punters at the prestigious QIPCO British Champions Series Race Day held at Ascot.
Millions
On a day when super horse Frankel romped to victory to add millions to its value, the band’s 10 piece ensemble performed throughout the day in Ascot’s impressive Victorian Bandstand, to accompany the most lucrative racing event ever held in the British Flat Racing Calendar.
Entertainment
The band’s participation was organised by ‘Mode for’, which provides brass musicians, ensembles and bands to a wide variety of private, public, corporate and sporting events.

Thrilled
Co-owner Tabby Clegg told 4BR: "I was delighted with the level of performance and professionalism offered by the Friary Guildford and I am thrilled that the band will also lead the pre-match anthems at Wembley Stadium in November for the Gillette 4 Nations rugby league event."
