Celebrations for Hazel Grove and Poynton Youth

There was a celebration of some great achievements recently for the members and supporters of Hazel Grove and Poynton Youth Bands.

The Hazel Grove and Poynton Youth Band’s recently celebrated their achievements which have included winning the 2010 Fourth Section National Championship and gaining second place at the National Youth Brass Band Championships of Great Britain respectively.

Celebration

A celebration event saw the bands play music carefully selected by MD’s Nigel Beasley (Hazel Grove) and Mike Eccles (Poynton Youth) to show each band at their best as well as feature manay of their leading young soloists.

Soloists

Philip Heywood and Gareth Beasley were featured with Hazel Grove, whilst Ben Jones, Cheryl Heppenstall and Rachael Jones showcased their talents with Poynton Youth.
