South Yorkshire Police Band will feature a number of new signings when they make their appearance at the National Finals in Cheltenham this weekend.
Recruits
Kim Wear, a former principal cornet and Stocksbridge veteran returns from his winter season as a ski instructor in the Alps to fill the repiano seat vacated by Andrea Payne who has moved to flugel horn
Meanwhile, Adrian Green joins on first horn and Norman Horton comes in on the solo cornet bench.
Michelle Brown joins on solo baritone to join her sister Louise who has vacated the seat to move to second euphonium. Jeff Evason takes the top trombone seat and Lizzie Raspen joins the backrow cornet team.
These are all quality signings, many with Championship Section experience. They will really strengthen the band in our Cheltenham performance and with our promotion to the First SectionMD, Leigh Baker
