Kilmarnock Concert Brass has announced the departure of conductor and tuba star Craig Anderson due to an ever increasing professional work load of commitments.

It ends a highly successful two year period at the helm, a period in which he helped resurrect the band through his enthusiasm and talent. In March 2010, after only six months with the young band he led them to victory at the Scottish Championships.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Kilmarnock Concert Brass would like to thank Craig and wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
