Brighouse set to light purple flame

National champions to light a musical purple flame in their forthcoming Bridgewater Hall appearance.

National Champions Brighouse & Rastrick have announced their programme for the forthcoming Great Northern Brass Arts Festival, which takes place at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester this weekend.

First half

Brighouse & Rastrick under MD David King will bring the curtain up at the Bridgewater Hall for the Gala Evening Concert, with Foden’s concluding the first half and Black Dyke providing the second half of the entertainment.

Purple Flame

Brighouse will feature Peter Graham’s ‘Purple Flame’, ‘Sleep’, the British Open test piece, ‘Red Priest’, ‘The Joy of Loving Hearts’ by Kenneth Downie and ‘Vitae Aeternum’ by Paul Lovatt-Cooper

Tickets

Tickets are still available for the Gala Evening Concert (7.15pm) and all the daytime concerts by Leyland Band (12 noon), National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain (2.15pm) and Fairey (Geneva) Band (4.15pm).
