From September, Hammonds will move into the band’s premises and share their facilities.
Positive move
Sellers MD Alex Kerwin told 4BR: "This is a very positive move for us. We now have a constant supply of tutors and of course players to assist us in our bigger engagements."
Hammonds MD, Morgan Griffiths added: "We are really excited about the joint venture. Hammonds has a proud past and a great future as Yorkshire Champions, but our current bandroom has now proved to be too small, and we need premises of this quality as we prepare for the National Finals in Cheltenham."
Morgan added: "I’m delighted that we can do that and to receive the obvious benefits that this collaboration will bring."

Support
Both bands have acknowledged the support of Sellers sponsor, David Armitage who has been the catalyst behind his company’s involvement with brass bands for many years.
Alex added: "Without his support we wouldn’t be able to offer over eighty Huddersfield children a week low cost music tuition and a meaningful hobby. With opening the bandroom to Hammonds Saltaire Band this is another gesture of a great man."
