Stockport Schools Brass Band is getting ready for the new start of term and looking forward to a successful year having established several new players in the band in the last 12 months.

Full strength

Spokesperson, Alice Bell told 4BR: "The Senior and Intermediate bands are now at full strength and have been preparing for a number of contests including Blackpool and Fleetwood."

The preparation was started at a very successful residential weekend in Wales for 40 of the band members and having recently gained charitable status it has opened up a number of new opportunities.
