Lydbrook Band’s social activities have many facets, but they must be the first in the banding world to contain a group of brass banders called the ‘Brass Bikers’ – pedal bikes that is – not Hell’s Angels!

And this weekend, the group, about 16 in all, working with the local Forestry Commission, will cycle between venues in the Forest of Dean, and perform a 30 minute programme of music at each to entertain the locals and vistors.

So if you happen to be in the area and see a peloton of bikers with brass instruments, then give them a toot of your horn, as they make their way to the various venues.
