It’s been an interesting few months for the famous Dobcross Silver Band.

Bright future

Having lost their former MD through retirement and various players deciding to leave the future looked a little bleak. However, with plenty of hard work from band members and a little luck, the future looks extremely bright.

Being able to now boast a full band with some extremely talented and experienced players, the climb will no doubt steadily gather momentum. We are very much on the upMD, Kenny Pain

Ambitious

With an ambitious MD, Kenny Pain the band has attracted no less than a dozen new players.

MD Kenny Pain told 4BR: "It’s been many years since Dobcross Silver was in the top tier of banding and at one stage a few years ago the band were even down to single figures. But with hard work Dobcross began the slow climb back up the ladder."

On the up

He added: "Being able to now boast a full band with some extremely talented and experienced players, the climb will no doubt steadily gather momentum. We are very much on the up."
