With all the news about phone hacking clogging the television airways at present, eagle eyed viewers may well have spotted a brass band making an appearance extolling the benefits of using Vodaphone services.
Free service
The Delph Band can be seen as part of the company’s latest television campaign to promote JustTextGiving — a free service for charities to raise money through text messages.
The village of Delph was the setting for the advert, which saw the band captured in various set ups – including performing outside one of Whit Friday’s most famous contesting venues – Delph Band Club
Great experience
MD Phil Goodwin told 4BR: "We were contacted by an agency in London who asked if we would want to do it, and before long we were all set up with a specially commissioned piece to play.
It was a great experience, although a real eye opener to see just how much time and energy goes into producing a 40 second television commercial. We were on set all day."

High profile
It’s the latest high profile television appearance for the band, following their performance on ‘Coronation Street’ a few months back.
Phil added: "It’s helped that we are national champions this year and that has got us a bit more attention, but we can assure our supporters we haven’t become media darlings, although it would be nice to see if we can now get to play at the Baftas!"
