Judges announced for Bradford

The team of adjudicators for the Yorkshire Regional Championships in Bradford next year have been announced.

St Georges
 

The Yorkshire Regional Committee has announced the schedule and judges for their 2012 event that will take place at St. George’s Hall in Bradford on the weekend of 3rd/4th March.

Saturday 3rd March:
Commencing 10.30 am
Second Section: Phillip McCann & Philip Sparke

followed by Fourth Section: Mike Kilroy & Colin Hardy

Sunday 4th March:
Commencing 9.15 am
Third Section: Ewan Easton & Malcolm Brownbill
followed by First Section: John Berryman & Alan Morrison

Championship Section:
Commencing 5.00pm:
Adjudicators: Paul Cosh & Frank Renton

Good mix

Commenting on the appointment of adjudicators, Peggy Tomlinson, Yorkshire Regional Secretary told 4BR: "Although for some of our adjudicators it will be their first experience in the box at the Yorkshire Regional Championships, they will be very familiar to the bands."

Peggy added: "I feel we have a good mix of new and older faces and I am confident we can look forward to a good weekend at Yorkshire 2012."

March 27 • We are a friendly progressive 1st Section band who need a couple of seats filled.. Bb BASS and PERCUSSIONIST are on our wanted list so if you are looking for a new banding challenge get in contact. We rehearse on Wednesdays and have good realistic diary.


Newport Borough Brass Band

March 27 • After a respectable 4th place in the 2nd Section at the Welsh Area Contest, we are looking for FRONT ROW CORNET (position negotiable) 1st BARITONE, 2ND TROMBONE and Bb BASS players to come and join us on our journey under the baton of Martin McHale BEM.


East London Brass

March 27 • PERCUSSION - ELB are the look out for a percussionist to complement our existing section. We have a sensible diary of contests and concerts and are ambitious to keep progressing as a band.
