The VBS Poynton Band will be spending plenty of time in recording studios over the next few weeks.

New CD

The band will be recording a new CD in July, but before that, they will be in the BBC’s famous Studio 7, the home of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, laying down tracks for Radio 3’s festival of light music, ‘Light Fantastic’.

Works

The works the band will be recording are ‘Summon the Dragon’ by Peter Graham, ‘An Untold Story’ by Paul Lovett-Cooper (played by the band’s Helen Moore) and ‘Dundonell’ from ‘Hymn of the Highlands’ by Philip Sparke.
