Bands prepare for day of banding MADNESS!

The forthcoming MAD 4 Brass Bands Day is gaining widespread support — and there is still time to get involved too.

Over 200 bands have pledged their support for the forthcoming MAD 4 Brass Bands Day, which will take place across the UK at over 140 venues on 9th July.

Mammoth event

BFBB Liaison Officer Terry Luddington has been working hard to get as many bands and organisations involved in the mammoth event and is keen to get even more included.

Contact

He told 4BR: "If your band is planning to do something on MAD 4 Brass Bands Day and you do not appear on the MAD4BB Day Map, then please let me have the details of your event as soon as you can and we'll include you in our promotional mix. We are particularly interested to hear what bands are doing in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland."

Whatever the event, it is your chance to get some free publicity for your band and its activitiesBFBB Liaison Officer, Terry Luddington

Big and small

And Terry is looking for events big and small too: "It could be as simple as an open rehearsal, a coffee morning fund-raiser, some street busking, or a full blown concert. Whatever the event, it is your chance to get some free publicity for your band and its activities."

MAD4BB Day is designed to demonstrate how much brass bands contribute to our cultural life and hopes to encourage more members of the public to participate in whatever way to brass band music making.
