Foden’s has announced the addition of Howard Snell and Jens Lindemann to their growing list of Vice Presidents.

Real pleasure

Howard Snell's musical relationship with the band has been rekindled in recent times with a memorable concert at this year's Great Northern Spring Brass Arts Festival.

He told 4BR: "Having spent an important and hugely rewarding part of my conducting career at Foden's, it's a real pleasure to become a Vice-President. A long succession of memories has been brought up to date by recent concerts that have shown the band at an extraordinarily high level of performance. If I can help them in this through this special role I will be delighted."

Best band

Meanwhile, Jens Lindemann also accepted the invitation to join Howard alongside other trumpet legend Professor John Wallace CBE in the new VP role.

Jens wowed the audience at the Bridgewater Hall with his performances backed by the band and added: "Being associated with Foden's is to be associated with the best in the world. They are artists of the highest order and I could not be more proud to be involved with this wonderful group of musicians."

New doors

Band Secretary Andy Rolfe added: "These appointments are a vital part of our strategy which will enable Foden’s Band to progress. Our Vice Presidents will provide not only advice and guidance but also open up new doors of opportunity. These are really exciting times for the band."
