4BR has been informed of the death of Seth Appleton.

Highly respected

Seth was a highly respected former principal cornet of Thoresby Colliery and Ransome, Hoffman & Pollard Bands, as well as going on to become a very successful l conductor and tutor in the East Midlands

He passed away on 19th May after a long illness.

Funeral details

The funeral will take place at Mansfield Crematorium on Tuesday 31st May 2011 at 10.00am.

April 3 • We have vacancies for a trombone player and a bass player. Cleethorpes Band rehearse near the seafront on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Placed 3rd in the NOE 4th section. Other players are always welcome as we may be able to switch positions around
