The Wilsden Band from Yorkshire recently celebrated its 30th anniversary with a celebration concert.
Enjoyment
And enjoying the experience more than most were three original members of the band which was reformed 1981 — Matt and Dennis Renshaw and Bill Marshall.
Long way
A spokesperson told 4BR: "The band has come a long way since those early days, when green jerseys were the uniform, to being as well dressed as the best bands in the land with maroon/gold concert jackets."
The band continues to go from strength to strength and is enjoying something of a resurgence in recent years, making a return to the contesting stage at the Yorkshire Area Championships under MD, Ken Lee.

Packed audience
A packed audience enjoyed numerous items, including big band pieces, comedy items, relaxing music and a full blown rendering of Zambesi with no less than five percussionists.!
MD Ken Lee and his wife, principal cornet, Shelley even got together to perform the old duet classic ‘Playmates’.
