There was a small but competitive turn out of bands at the Fife Brass Band Festival on Saturday 16th April, where Kingdom Brass warmed up for their forthcoming appearance at the European Brass Band Championships in Montreux by adding an extra £200 to the coffers by winning the Championship Section event under the baton of Anne Crookston.

Victors

Clackmannan beat rivals Coalburn to take the First Section honours, whilst Shott’s St Patrick’s Brass picked up the Second Section title. Brass Sounds Inverclyde came out on top in the Third Section, whilst the Fourth Section title was claimed by Queensferry Community.

There was good news for the organisers with the return of Sanquhar & District and the debut of Tullis Russell Intermediate in the non contesting section.
