Brighouse

National Champion Brighouse & Rastrick welcomed an international delegation from the musical instrument division of Yamaha last week.

A team drawn from Germany, USA and Japan joined some of their UK based colleagues at one of the band's rehearsals at their famous headquarters in West Riding.

Objectives

The group comprising instrument technicians, designers and marketing personnel came with varying objectives.

Yamaha personnel used the occasion to further the development of instruments specifically for the band, whilst those working in the growing American market were able to listen closely to the band in full flow4BR

Development

Yamaha personnel used the occasion to further the development of instruments specifically for the band, whilst those working in the growing American market were able to listen closely to the band in full flow.

Professional Conductor Professor David King, was the original link between the two organisations, and although not currently in the UK, will receive feedback from the likes of euphonium player Steve Walsh and bass player Simon Greswell, who are advisors for Yamaha.
