Following on from the banding world’s response to the earthquake and tsunami disaster that has hit Japan, a number of leading players and conductors will get together this weekend to produce a charity recording to help the work of the British Red Cross Tsunami Appeal

The recording is taking place at Salford University Peel Hall and the organizers are hoping that as many supporters come along to add to the supportive atmosphere.

It all starts on Sunday at 7.00pm with tickets costing £5. All proceeds go to the British Red Cross Tsunami Appeal.

Star players and conductors
The event has been organised by Natsumi Mcdonald and Fumika Kimura from Foden’s Band and Marrianne Garbutt from Salford University, and the concert recording will feature players from Foden’s, Hammonds Saltaire, Fairey, Leyland, Middleton and Fulham, as well as a number of guest soloists and conductors.
In addition there will be the first performance of a composition by Fumika Kirmura.
