The second University Brass Band Championships of Great Britain will take place on Saturday 18th February 2012.
Success
Following the success of the inaugural competition this year, the Music Society of Lancaster University will once again host the event.
Thanks to funding from the Arts Council England, there will be workshops for participating bands running on Sunday 19th February.
Get the most
The organisers have informed 4BR that they are keen to hear the thoughts of participants about the competition and want to ensure that all competitions get the most out of UniBrass.
By talking to competing bands they hope that any problems experienced at the inaugural contest can be ironed out and any bright ideas of how to take the contest further can be seized upon.

Build
Max Stannard, one of the organisers of UniBrass, told 4BR: "We have learnt many lessons from UniBrass 2011 and we hope we can build on this achievement and make sure UniBrass 2012 is even bigger and better.
We are lucky that we already have funding for key areas in place, which means we can begin preparations for next year far earlier, giving us far more time to begin planning what we want UniBrass 2012 to achieve."
