The Menai Bridge Porthaethwy Band recently provided the musical entertainment for Prince William and Kate Middleton's first official public engagement.

The band joined the couple, who have a home on the island, outside the RNLI Station in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey, prior to the official launch of the new Atlantic 85 lifeboat, ‘Hereford Endeavour’.
The band also led the singing of the National Anthems and hymns during the service of dedication, in which the Prince and Miss Middleton demonstrated how much Welsh they have learnt being based at nearby RAF Valley as a Search & Rescue helicopter pilot.

Musical Director, Chris Williams told 4BR: "The band have very close links with the Trearddur Bay RNLI. To be performing at such a prestigious and well publicised event and for Prince William and Miss Middleton made it even more special for everyone involved."
