Foden's recently made their 11th consecutive visit to Armagh in Northern Ireland for an action packed weekend of playing, training and fun.

Workshops

A reunion concert was held where members of the highly successful Foden's Summer School, which last year celebrated its 10th anniversary performed the first half of the concert with Foden's under the direction of Associate Conductor Mike Fowles delivering the entertainment in the second.

The weekend also saw Foden's hold a conductors master class led by Mike Fowles, which gave 15 conductors of varying experience an opportunity to conduct Foden's in front of an audience.

the band led the celebrations in concert with Andy Scott’s ‘Battle of Barossa’ to commemorate the 200th anniversary of one of the most pivotal battles of the Napoleonic wars.4BR

The band later met Major Jim Speers and members of the Armagh Old Boys Band and Old Comrades Association of the Royal Irish Fusiliers 87th Battalion, where they were presented with an Armagh Bowl received by Band Chairman John Barber.

Later that evening the band led the celebrations in concert with Andy Scott’s ‘Battle of Barossa’ to commemorate the 200th anniversary of one of the most pivotal battles of the Napoleonic wars.
