The inaugural University Brass Band Championships of Great Britain take place at Lancaster University on Saturday and as one of the organising team, Max Stannard has told 4BR, it is hoped that it will be the first many more to come.

Max talks to 4BR Editor Iwan Fox about the event and explains how it came about and what the organising team of Rhian Davies, Chris Osborn, Laura Hounsome, Laura Emsley, Jenni Hughes and himself hope to see develop from a contest that has attracted student bands from all over the country.
