There was a fine day of contesting in Gloucester on the weekend, where Melvin White was able to relax and enjoy the performances at the GBBA Entertainment Contest in Coleford.
Good form
The AW Parker (Drybrook) Band, who ended 2010 in such fine style, carried on their good form into 2011 to post a highly encouraging victory just a few weeks ahead of the Regional Championship in Torquay.
They beat a number of higher ranked bands to claim the Open Section trophy the prize for ‘Most Entertaining Band’ and the Fourth Section Winners Prize’
In addition conductor Kevin White, won the Best Conductor Prize.
