Penicuik Silver has announced the signing of some new and the return of some old faces in time for their assault on the Scottish Regional Championships at the end of February.
Return
Returning to the solo cornet bench after a brief spell away at Cooperative Funeralcare Band is David Mcleod whilst Grace Jack comes in to add to the percussion section.
Huge asset
MD Stuart Black told 4BR: "It's great to have these guys come back in after time away. Dave is obviously a huge asset to have in the band with his playing pedigree, and Grace is a massive help on tuned percussion.".
Kirsty Wilson boosts the news faces to the horn ranks and Simba Makoni comes into the trombone bench.
The band did really well at our first outing at the Borders contest in November, so with these additions I’m looking forward to hopefully putting on a good performance in Perth next monthMD, Stuart Black
Looking forward
Stuart added: "Kirsty and I have known each other for a few years now through our time together with the National Youth Band of Scotland so I know how strong a player she is. Simba has great potential, and it's great to see him making the move to the senior band.
