Christmas Day 2010 will be long remembered by the hardy members of Lydbrook Senior and Training Bands who ventured out to play carols for the village that bears their name.

And despite the freezing weather, with the temperature gauge at minus 12°C, a dozen members managed to keep up a tradition that stretches back to 1923. And despite frozen valves and slides, the players were delighted to have maintained their Christmas Day appearance.
