Blidworth Welfare Band has completed their 30th anniversary year on a high following their recent double success at both Leamington Spa and Leicester contests.
Top honours
The band claimed top honours and picked up two 'Best Instrumentalist' prizes at the contests, which meant they picked up four trophies in just eight days.
Best players
Solo Euphonium player Andy Baldwin took the solo prize at Leamington Spa with soprano player Phil White taking the award at Leicester.
The contests ended a great year of celebration for the band, which also included qualification for the Lower Section National Finals

The band has recently welcomed new signing Sarah Vernon on repiano after spells playing with Thurcroft, Harworth and Thoresby.
